The hopper, or filling funnel, is used to properly introduce the food into the juicing cup. This in particular has a large opening of 8.5 cm in diameter and a small one of 4.5 x 3.5 cm. The curve in the large part has a safety function (makes it difficult or impossible to insert a hand).
