What to put in your shopping cart among fruits and vegetables in the month of April
We are now in the month of April, and even if spring peeps out every other day, we can already bring to our tables the fruit and vegetables that this new season offers us.Eating seasonal foods – we often say it – is good for our body, for the environment, and allows us to cook with more taste, truly savoring everything that nature offers us, without adding fertilizers or preservatives.
Furthermore, it also allows us to save money: seasonal fruit and vegetables have lower costs than the varieties that are offered all year round, grown in greenhouses or imported.
The first days with mild temperatures are coming, and soon we will be able to harvest many fruits and vegetables to consume until summer!
